By nursethalia I was expecting just an illustrated retelling of the game, but this comic really expands on the story in the true fashion of previous Fables comics by Willingham. I actually enjoyed this volume quite a bit more than the original Fables series. Some great backstory from when the Fables first came from the Homelands and resided in Salem, Mass during the witch trials, and about Bigby's initial transition from wolf to man. I'm hoping with all the extra information they're giving us, future issues will clear up some of the confusion the finale of the game series caused on the Telltale forums.Even if you've never played the game and are only familiar with the comics, you will greatly enjoy this prequel! I can't wait for the next volume!
