This was a very well done graphic novel. I really enjoyed the artwork and enjoyed how the story is broadened.Hiro Shishigami has revealed to his friend Ando that he has strange biomechanical powers of his own, similar to Inuyashiki. However, Hiro proves that while power can be used for good (which is the direction Inuyashiki is exploring) it can also be used for evil. Hiro starts embarking down a dark path with his new powers. As Hiro’s kill count rises it looks like Inuyashiki may be the only one who can stop him.I enjoyed this volume of Inuyashiki a lot, but not quite as much as the first volume. This volume is full of very graphic and gory violence (brutal murder of a family...including kids and baby) and also has a sex scene with partial nudity. It’s rated Older Teen, but I am thinking it’s probably more appropriate for adult readers. Here we get an indepth look into Hiro’s activities...and Hiro is one sick cookie. You also get a bit hint as to where the story is going….it looks like Hiro is going to be the super evil bad dude and Inuyashiki is going to be the unlikely savior. I am hoping the story is more complex and interesting than that in the long run...I would really like to know more about the origin of these characters’ crazy powers. The drawing is incredibly detailed and absolutely amazing throughout; I really enjoyed it. I am also very curious as to where this story is going.Overall an incredible continuation of this graphic novel series, but much more gory and violent than the first volume. I really loved the illustration and am finding the story to be incredibly intriguing. I would recommend to those who enjoy sci-fi manga.

Inuyashiki, being the hero of this book still makes a few appearances, and learns more about his powers along the way.Vol 2. is just as captivating as Vol 1, and begs for continued reading.

The art is absolutely fantastic for a start. I think he may have used real photographs at certain points to make them look like drawings, not sure it's amazing anyway. The story is disturbing. This volume concentrates on the young man who was present on the hill and needless to say, he is the antithesis to the old man; a serial killer in the making with no moral convictions at all. He doesn't seem to have any humanity left and we have his friend with him to judge his former self with his new machine self. There does seem to be a tiny vestige of what he may have been lurking inside, but we'll have to see. The old man, Inuyashiki gets his fair share of time here too though and he learns more of what he can do and tries out more of his chosen path by using his powers for good; it isn't going to be easy but it makes him feel better than anything in his life ever has so far. An interesting look at what makes us human, good vs evil, man vs machine. This volume is brutally violent, stomach churningly so and contains an almost X-rated sex scene. I'm apprehensive about the next volume. The story is deep; I want to see how Inuyashiki progresses but I'm uneasy as to where Hiro's sadistic charater will plummet. I'll be reading volume three and then we'll see if I go further.
