  • Oscar Award-winning writer/director and Django creator Quentin Tarantino teams with Eisner Award-winning comic book creator Matt Wagner to write the official Django Unchained sequel, uniting the gun-blazing Western hero with the legendary swordsman of literature, film, and comics: Zorro!
  • Set several years after the events of Django Unchained, Django again pursues evil men in his role as a bounty hunter. Taking to the roads of the American Southwest, he encounters the aged and sophisticated Diego de la Vega by sheer chance. Django is fascinated by this unusual character, the first wealthy white man he's met who seems totally unconcerned with the color of his skin... and who can hold his own in a fight. Django hires on as Diego's bodyguard, and is soon drawn into a fight to free the local indigenous people from brutal servitude. Learning much from the older man (as he did from King Schultz), he discovers that slavery isn’t exclusive to his people, as he even dons the mask of Zorro in their mission of mercy!

Quentin Tarantino clearly has an affinity for Zorro, and the masked avenger is good match for Tarantino’s own Django, a character who stands as a tribute to classic spaghetti western heroes. Matt Wagner and Tarantino were evidently on the same page … a bunch of pages, actually … when they concocted this story. The story concerns a fellow’s scheme to acquire all of the land in the territory of Arizona, in the hope it will one day become part of the United States. He anticipates a railroad line from Texas to California and wants to gouge the railroad for the land the rails will occupy. Zorro views this as an injustice, particularly since the bad guy treats Native Americans as slave labor. Django takes a break from bounty hunting to serve as Zorro’s bodyguard (this being an aging Zorro), thus teaming a master swordsman with a master gunfighter. The story delivers strong messages of brotherhood and equality, of equal justice and the iniquity of double standards that are based on race or nationality or social class or gender. It is a story of courage and grit and honor. But setting that aside, this is a fast-moving adventure story that benefits from stylish prose and surprising twists. And, of course, Tarantino’s own special sauce of violence. The art is nifty. It never gets in the way but it always helps tell the story. And some of the western landscapes are really striking.

Teaming up 2 very different (or maybe not so different) heroes By Paul Mastin If you've seen the movie Django Unchained and liked it, you'll love Django's continuing adventure as he meets up with Zorro in Django/Zorro. Quentin Tarantino teamed up with the writers and illustrators at Dynamite Entertainment to create a series of comics, compiled here in graphic novel form. Django has left the South and headed west, where he meets Diego de la Vega, a.k.a. Zorro, on the way to confront a bad dude in Arizona.Zorro's interested in the fraud perpetrated by the self-appointed Archduke of Arizona, and Django comes along for the ride. Djanog soon discovers the Archduke isn't much different from the slave owners he knew back in the South and begins to foment a bit of rebellion.I loved the way Tarantino and his collaborators emphasize the differences between Django and Zorro (class, choice of weapons, readiness to kill) while using their contrasting styles to work together. Fans will love the additional material included in this edition: cover art, commentaries from Tarantino and collaborator Matt Wagner, as well as the original script from the first comic. I doubt there are plans to make this into a movie, but Django/Zorro stands on its own as a worthy sequel to Django Unchained. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the complimentary electronic review copy!

Great action, and what a duo. OK, I admit I still haven’t watched Django, I know I should, but somehow I can’t get to it, so I don’t know anything about this guy. But Zorro, on the other hand, him I do know and this story is totally in his style. I’m guessing from Django’s side you’ll have all the gunfights and killing as Zorro prefers not to kill.I had a great time watching and reading how Diego gets rid of some idiots who think they can mess with him just because he’s wearing fancy and colorful clothes in this boring, dominated by brown and beige world. It seemed like Django had just as much fun :). I’m kind of surprised how these two came together and basically showed each other their secrets. Maybe I wanted them to hide more, but then again it worked out for them quite nicely.I rather enjoyed the drawing style. I admit, I’m not an expert with graphic novels, but this one looks like one of the old-style superhero ones. It fits perfectly with the Zorro theme.Ooooh and the extras… the original script and all the single issue covers! Awesome! I have to admit, I like Dynamite comics. They did publish some of the great ones :).read it all here: https://maginibooks.wordpress.com/2015/11/13/with-gun-and-sword/

Reckoning (Blood & Series #4)By: Dana Delamar5/5 starsRuggero Vela has been one of my absolute favorite side characters in this series since book one. He has such a dry, witty and sarcastic sense of humor. I love the insight that he’s been able to give to not only Don Lucchesi, but also Nick & Antonia and even the women. I love his loyalty to the Lucchesi family cosca and the families within it. I love his fearless protection of Enrico & Kate. Even though he knows that he will more than likely die in the line of duty, he never balks to do what is asked of him.Judge Loredana Montisi is known to be an anti-mafia judge who is strict and deals out harsh punishments to those involved in the mafia. She has a very good reason to be incorruptible, unable to be bribed or paid off. Both of her parents were judges as well and had been attacked by mafia gunmen. Seeing Ruggero in her courtroom is more than a little disconcerting with his imposing presence, but she refuses to back down. Ruggero also likes that she is a strong woman who will not be bullied. But there are dark and sinister forces that are driving the Enrico Lucchesi case from behind the scenes. At the end of book 3, we saw Lorenzo making the calls to get Lucchesi arrested. But now, we learn why he did what he did and made the calls that he made. It all boils down to nothing but greed, for more money and more power. He has already proved in previous books that he’s going to do whatever it takes to accomplish his goals. So the judge’s life is in danger if she doesn’t fall for the frame of Enrico. There were several heart-stopping moments and times when you just didn’t know how and if everything could work out, while having all of the favorite characters come out on top. I also loved how this book ended and would definitely be interested in reading another book (or two) from this series. As per usual, the book was meticulously though-out, researched, planned & executed. Dana Delamar may have taken longer to release this book than she (and her fans) had expected, but she also didn’t stop until the book was flawless & perfect.

I have waited impatiently for this 4th book in the series to be released. It was so worth it! I gobbled it up the day it was released.....I went back a second time because I was afraid that I missed something. Just as good the second time. The characters are developed, honest, complex and HOT!! I stumbled upon the first first book when it was first released. I am thrilled that I did. I have become a loyal fan and wait in anticipation for future work from her. I have recommended this book as well as the 3 prior books to many people and none have been disappointed. Thank for sharing this fantastic work with us!

By MommanCali ** DISCLAIMER** I REECIEVED A COPY OF THIS BOOK IN EXCHANGE FOR A REVIEWI have been along for this ride since the beginning and all I can is WOW!!!Ruggero was one of my favorite character from the very beginning and I'm thrilled he finally got his chance at love. When you look up "rough around the edges" in the dictionary you will find a picture of Ruggero, that's him to a T! Dana smooths out some of his edges and gives her readers another look at him and he softens, slightly when Loredanna comes into his life. The spark between them is explosive despite the danger that is around them; when you have a STRICT and no nonsense judge and a Mafiso,, what could go wrong?! Right?!Ruggero and Loredanna's love sceens make the reader reach for a glass or water and beg to trade places with her. This book brings to "conclusion?" What has been brewing between all the families since the first book; you don't have to have read all of them, but trust me on this, you will want too if this is your first ride with these sexy Mafiso. The action scenes had me looking over my shoulder for hidden danger.Dana pulled me into this before unknown world of the MOB with her first book, Revenge and she has kept me there. It has been a pleasure and a privilege to be along for the ride and see these characters grow and make tough decisions and fight for what THEY believe in and for love that may or may not want to be loved. You cannot go wrong with Reckoning, well, only if you don't dive in and hold on tight.

Review "Stacy Eaton takes the difficult subject of domestic abuse and turns it into an emotional, romantic, suspense story full of hope" D Jamieson"Domestic violence is a subject that not too many authors are able to tackle with as much realism and assurance as Stacy Eaton. The characters are well shown, and the imagery of abuse is excellently portrayed." Diana M. Hockley"So well written to describe domestic violence and how deeply it impacts a woman's life. Thank you for telling the story so well I am not a victim but have worked with programs that help victims." Wanda Grimes

From the Author Domestic Violence is a major problem in our society. My purpose for writing stories that deal with domestic violence:**First to help people that have never been in an abusive relationship to understand there are many facets to it**Second is to hopefully reach out to victims and let them know that they arenot alone, and that they can have a life and freedom. My stories are written from experience. The emotions, pain and many of thethoughts and actions of my characters are from real life experiences. Some Reviews on my Domestic Violence Novels: Whether I'll Live or Die:"A realistic look at domesticviolence and the destruction it causes.""As a woman who was married to anabusive husband for 4 years, this book is right on target. It was soreal and accurate."Barbara's Plea:"Stacy Eaton has a way of writing about tough subjects that most peopleeither gloss over or simply skip altogether. She does not pretty it up;she just writes what needs to be said. Some parts are heart-wrenching,some anger-inducing. The book is extremely well written." "Writing about domestic violence is very hard to do, but to do so in such a realistic and awe-inspiringmanner takes a lot of skill and understanding of the topic."You're Not Alone:"Domestic violence is a subjectthat not too many authors are able to tackle with as much realism andassurance as Stacy Eaton. The characters are well shown, and the imagery of abuse is excellently portrayed.""So well written to describedomestic violence and how deeply it impacts a woman's life. Thank youfor telling the story so well I am not a victim but have worked withprograms that help victims."

You're Not Alone is an emotional, inspiring story of a woman and a man, both of whom have survived abuse in their life By romancereader You're Not Alone is an emotional, inspiring story of a woman and a man, both of whom have survived abuse in their life, finding each other and finding happiness together. The author drew me into this book from the very first chapter - she teases the reader with the possibility of recognition between the Trinity and Gavin - and makes the reader NEED to read on. The story is fast-paced and I found myself wanting to read faster and faster as the story continues, needing to read at the pace of the story. The book is set ten years after Trinity's "situation" but we find out quickly that she still has a lot of healing left to do - and Gavin is the perfect person to help her through that. He's a sensitive, alpha hero who knows just how to approach Trinity in a way that puts her at ease and draws her in. He is sensitive to her triggers and her fears and helps her manage them.Trinity's abuse has resulted in a self-confidence problem and I love how the author demonstrates Trinity's self-esteem issues and the way that Gavin address them. He has to walk a tightrope of telling her how he feels and what he wants without scaring her away - considering how long he has had feelings for her.The book is written in alternating first person point-of-view, a hallmark of this author. Its a sensual romance but no specifics of intimacy scenes are included, instead left up to the imagination of the reader. But, I didn't find that I missed the details, because so much of a romance is the emotional connection the reader feels to the characters, and I felt that connection even without the specifics.

It was a real eye opener to what domestic violence is and what it can do to women. The author does a fantastic job of explaining the different types of violence and how it effects women in the story and yet make it a beautiful story about true love. When she explains how the main character, Trinity, gives her seminars on domestic violence it’s something all men and women need to hear. I wish we could give these seminars to all high school students. The premise of the book is Trinity is battered almost to death by her husband many years ago. The young rookie cop, Gavin, is the one who arrested her husband and carries her out to the ambulance. He sits in the trial as her husband is sentence 20 years for what he has done and always thinks about her and wonders how her life has turned out. Ten years later, he is at a seminar and she is giving a domestic violence training and they met up. From there they go out and slowly develop a beautiful relationship. This is the first time Trinity is able to date a man and it takes a while for her to trust a man again. Gavin is one man all women would like in their world. It also tells the story of the ups and downs of running a domestic violence shelter and the twist and turns of the relationship of Trinity and Gavin.I was given this book for an honest review and was happy to read it as I have been involved with a domestic violence shelter for many year. Ms. Eaton knows what she is talking about and has put it into a wonderful, beautiful story.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Intense and amazing! By Nikki W. You're Not Alone- I won't lie, this book is intense! Writing about domestic abuse has got to be a tough thing to do, but experiencing it has got to be even tougher. Stacy Eaton blew me away, once again. She has officially yanked my heart out, stomped on it, and replaced it for the 100th time. And I'm pretty sure it won't be the last. I blew through this book like a full ranged tornado. Seriously, I couldn't put it down, I didn't WANT to put it down and I definitely didn't want it to end. Stacy started off with such a big bang that I knew from the start this book would be freaking fantastic. And it was so much more than that. I was left shaking and scared for Trinity's past at times. And left in love with her future/ present life. The emotion of these characters fly off the pages and into your heart. This was a truly heart stomping, life changing story that needed to be told. No matter if we want tp believe it or not, Abuse is something that happens every single day. And it's not always physical, but mental too.
