1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Not your ordinary romance novels. By Katharine H. It’s kind of ironic. Adelaide yearns for her husband’s care and affection. Robert feels the same way towards his wife, but he fails to do his duty as his husband. I think he’s too weak. He often acknowledges the negative side of things instead of concentrating on the brighter side. In spite of this, I also felt adoration for Robert. He’s a man who has it all and who dearly loves his wife. It’s a sad love romance book that many of us will be able to relate to. I just hope that Adelaide will stop her affair with her seamstress and be patient enough to wait for his husband.

Their marriage evidently wasn’t working out. Add to the mix Elisabeth, who made Adelaide even more confused (I seriously wonder what it was like to be lesbian lovers during their time). Lastly, there’s Thomas. Yes, a foursome! Sounds like your wildest fantasies, eh? Yep, this is definitely not your average love romance story!

Loved the plot twists which did not make the story predictable It is a nice read for anyone looking to spend a few hours transporting themselves into a story. If you love romance you need to get this book.
